What is Linguine?

Traditionally, linguine is paired with lighter, oil-based sauces or seafood, such as linguine alle vongole (linguine with clams). Its smooth surface allows sauces to coat each strand evenly, making it a popular choice for both simple and more complex dishes. 

Difference Between Trenette and Linguine 

The most noticeable difference between trenette and linguine is their thickness and width. While both are flat, trenette tends to be narrower and slightly thicker than linguine.
